Doug + Ashley | NYIT de Seversky Mansion Wedding | as seen on Style Me Pretty
When we headed out to New York last fall to film the wedding of Doug and Ashley, images of red and golden colored leaves danced in my mind. The crisp but not too cold temperatures of the East Coast in Autumn sounded refreshing from the still hot West Coast. Ideals of a bride and groom playing in piles of leaves in front of ivy covered brick buildings would be a great photo opp, OR so I thought! BUT what nobody expected was a surprise winter storm, the likes of which had not been seen since the Civil War. A thousand down trees in Central Park alone and power outages that lasted for days across the northeastern states.
What seemed like a potential disaster turned out to be a beautiful wintery white surprise and the warmth of our lovely couple kept all of their guests cozy inside this amazing Long Island Mansion. We had a wonderful time filming this fun Jewish celebration with lots of beautiful details and energetic guests that kept the party going late into the night. My favorite quote of the day “If rain on your wedding day is good luck…then snow is even better!”
With a fresh blanket of snow outside and the flicker of soft candlelight inside, the whole wedding had a magical feel and we are so excited that we were able to capture this amazing event! Congrats to Doug and Ashley!
We hope you enjoy Doug + Ashley’s handmade wedding highlight film!
